Several weeks ago two friends came to me, independently of each other, asking if I would make a birthday cake for their son. I said yes to the first without realizing the second would also be asking (I had done the second friend's son's cake last year. repeat business. yeah!). The kicker? Both boys were having their parties on the same day. Both cake themes sounded like they would be super fun to do. So, after not having done any cakes since this time last year & since having our baby girl, I jumped right in. I was a bit concerned about getting both cakes done but, as it turns out, I didn't need to worry a bit. Neither cake required very much piping & I was able to get them done much quicker than I had anticipated. In fact, the jungle cake was done on Wednesday night instead of Thursday night or Friday morning like I had thought.

One friend was having a Pirate themed party. So, what else could I do but a pirate ship. The birthday boy had a Playmobil Pirate set that worked great with the cake.

The other cake was a Jungle theme. After viewing some picture on the Internet I decided I wanted to add a waterfall. It was so much fun to do & pretty easy to.

If you, or someone you know, needs a cake please feel free to contact me. I specialize in birthday cakes but I'd also enjoy decorating cakes for other events.

Character Cakes

I've done quite a few character cakes including Pooh, Thomas, and Barbie. I have also done Blues Clue and Scooby Doo. I believe I also have the pans to do Elmo, Mickey Mouse, and Bugs Bunny.
